Based in Lynchburg, VA, the Blue Ridge River Runners Canoe and Kayak Club was formed in December of 1984, and has grown to be the third largest paddlers' organization in Virginia. Whether you are a beginner, or advanced paddler, whether you are into flatwater boating or Class V whitewater, we have something for you. Our newsletters and our website list frequent trips on regional rivers, led by experienced paddlers.
The Club sponsors several exciting annual events, such as the West Virginia Whitewater Extravaganza, which last year drew over fifty participants, or our yearly visit to the Nantahala Outdoor Center Guest Appreciation Festival.
Our Club is affiliated with American Whitewater, and several other major paddling organizations.
