The Southwest Outdoor Club was formed over 24 years ago as a way to bring together people of all ages and abilities who feel the need to escape from the shackles of the workplace and take advantage of all that Arizona and the Southwest has to offer out of doors. Whether you are interested in camping, hiking, cycling, kayaking, climbing or just doing some serious power lounging, we have activities that will meet your needs.
Living in the desert we do appreciate our water and a number of club members use any excuse they can get to splash around in their boats. They're also fanatical about encouraging other people to take up the sport. So, if you don't own a canoe or a kayak but are interested in learning about paddling, there's usually an available spare to get you started.
