Shasta Paddlers is a group of approximately 100 whitewater and flatwater enthusiasts who paddle in northern California, Oregon, Idaho, or wherever the water looks inviting. The club's members are scattered around Redding, California where the southern Cascades meet the Sierra Nevada range.
Members paddle kayaks, inflatable kayaks, open canoes, and rafts on Class I - V+ rivers. Club favorites include the Sacramento River above and below Shasta Dam, the Trinity River, Cal-Salmon, Klamath River and numerous steep creeks in the Cascade, Klamath, and Sierra Mountains. Club meetings are the second Wednesday of each month at Angelo's Pizza in the Foundry Square at 7:00 pm. All are welcome to drop in and catch up on trip reports, conservation efforts, and general good times.
