The San Diego Kayak Club was formed on April 19, 1999 by a group of paddling enthusiasts in San Diego, California. The club is instrumental in providing a forum for area paddlers to meet others with similar interests. We also plan social activities, share ideas and experiences, promote safe kayaking, help each other improve kayaking skills and encourage respect for our environment. Club members are involved in the various aspects of paddling: open ocean sea kayaking, bay, lake and estuary paddles, surfing, fishing, whitewater, kayak polo and kayak camping trips. The club's main goals are twofold. First, to provide practice clinics, workshops and social trips at all skills levels. Secondly, through our monthly newsletter, club meetings and Internet site to provide a central communication hub.
Whether you want to be involved in planning activities, hosting trips or just paddle, you are welcome to join the fun and excitement of paddling Southern California, Baja and beyond with the San Diego Kayak Club!
