In Buenos Aires!

Well, Andy Maser and I just arrived in Buenos Aires and met in the airport. Surprisingly, the "surf boards" were no problem getting down here, although the people at the check in counter did ask why they were so heavy and had paddles with them.

We just checked into a sweet youth hostel, where we will spend the weekend before heading to Santiago to buy a car. Last time we bought a car in Latin America, it was a huge pain, and almost ended with us being arrested and thrown in a terrifying panamanian jail. We've learned a lot, so we're hoping this will go better.

LJ and Alex are going ahead of us to Santiago, Chile to jumpstart the car search, and Lane Jacobs and crew have already bought their car. The crew is about the converge, and hopefully we'll be boating in a week or less! Check back for updates!

Argentina Preparations and Run! Bike! Slam! party invitation in western VA

Well in just over a week, the EP crew will converge on the unsuspecting city of Buenos Aires, Argentina. There, we will buy a minibus, and head south on a two month filming trip towards the majestic Patagonia regeon. Before we go however, we'll quit our furious packing frenzy for the annual Run! Bike! Slam! at Virginia Tech, in Blacksburg, VA.

It's a triathalon party in which you race down a hill on a bike with no chain or breaks, up the hill through an obstical course of kayaks and bike tubes to dive through, and then down the hill again to slam! a cup of beer. Single elimination, head to head, round robbin, winner takes all so you better give it all you got. Dance party afterwards to the hip-hop tunes of DJ Dyno Crimp. It's gonna be hot!

Wanta come? We think you should, and bring a friend. Directions, funny photos, and the full deal at: www.runbikeslam.com
It's free and fun.

See you friday, or you can read about it on Monday on the blog.

Peace,
Trip
