Winning PKRA in Venezuela
Well, I found a really good thing to start off my postings and the season of 2005 with! I just won the first PKRA World Cup Round of the year! I can tell you, the first event in the Tour is always the most exciting one because everybody shows how much he or she has improved during the competition break! I did not know what I had to expect from the other girls and, of course, I was really nervous. But also I had one advantage...I arrived here on Coche Island/Venezuela already four weeks before the competition started and could practice right at the spot every day. This way I got really used to the conditions and had enough time to prepare myself and my equipment. In the end it just worked out perfectly! I did well and was actually happy with almost all my heats (that does normally not happen very often).

The Airpass, a move where you pass the bar behind your back during a big jump in the air, was helping me a lot in the competition because there is still not many girls who can do it. Well, the level of the girls has improved a lot though and I guess I need to practice hard and learn new moves as quick as possible! Happy ending this time, but the next competition is coming up soon and we will see how this one goes...
